September 18th-22nd

We had such a great time on our field trip yesterday. We just want to thank all the parents that were able to help us out, we think they had a good time too. It was very evident that the students enjoyed the day. Hopefully they came home and shared some of the fun with you. We are so proud of their behavior at the field trip. They were respectful and engaged all day. They really seemed to enjoy themselves and what a beautiful day it was to be outside.

Reading – We finished “The Tiger Rising.”  It was a great book.  We will be working this week to look deeper into those characters, and connecting it to our independent reading.

Writing – we will be revising and editing our narratives.

Social Studies – We have finished the 3 branches of national government.  This week our focus will be on the local and state governments.

Math- The end of Unit 1 came today. The students worked hard to prove their learning. Next week we will be completing our district wide math assessment and then we'll dive into Unit 2. 

Science- We continue to discuss matter and how it can change physically and chemically. We will be wrapping up that unit next week as well.
