September 11th-15th

Routines and expectations are taking a little longer to establish this year, but we continue to try and all get on the same page. We are all on the same team working for your student to make this year full of fun and growth. Please if you have any questions at all, let us know.

Reading – We continue to study character traits.  This week we had our first graded journals.   Watch out, there might be a debate in our future.

Writing – We will be revising and editing and narratives this week.

Social Studies – The U.S. Constitution was the focus of our studies this week.  Next week we will be studying about the 3 branches of government.

Science- We continue to look at Matter and how to classify it. The students had a handful of labs to complete as we worked closely with volume, mass, and density. Next week we will be working on the changes in Matter.

Math- Traditional Subtraction...Yeah!! The students worked hard this week on sharpening their skills. We also discussed units of measure (yards, feet, and inches) and lines, points, rays, and angles.
There will be a unit test towards the end of next week.
