First Week

Congratulations!! We made it through the first week. We started to get to know each other a little better and Mrs. Bream and I are very excited for the school year.

This is the Blog. This is where we will give you updates on the classroom as well as any important information to pass on. With it being the first week, this will probably be our longest post.

If you would like to be added to our daily Remind list, you can text 81010 with the message @74abd or if you would like daily email updates, you can email 74abd@mail.remind.com. We use this to inform you of sudden changes, homework, special days, and small reminders.

Reading – We are beginning our study of characters and their traits.  We will be choosing good books to read, and learn out to read intensely and with a focus.

Writing – This will begin on Tuesday. We will be looking at different ways we can get ideas for a story. Our first story will be a realistic fiction.  We will start by looking at how to develop a character.

Math- We took our Unit 1 baseline test and looked at numbers in our life. We also discussed some procedures for the year. Next week we begin Math journal work. 

Science- We have been talking about "What makes a good scientist" and began discussing scientific method. We experimenting with water droplets and pennies today. 

The fourth graders also were able to complete a variety of teambuilding tasks. They worked hard and discovered some skills they will need to be successful in fourth grade. 

Up and Coming:

Thursday- Instrumental Demonstration Assembly. 
Monday September 4th- No School
Wednesday September 6th- Vacation  T-shirt Day
