In the Classroom:
Reading – We have given our
presentations on important events of the Revolutionary War. We are
preparing to choose sides and have our own Continental Congress, and
debate. It should be interesting to see who which sides wins in Rooms 19
& 20.
Writing – We have finished one
chapter of our American Revolution Chapter book. Our next step in writing
will be to create a microstory, where each student pretends they are
participating in the Revolutionary war.
Read Aloud – We have begun
reading the book “Miracles at Maple Hill.” It is a story that takes place
in Northwestern Pennsylvania. We will be learning out how they make maple
sugar.
Math- We are working on Division. You student will be exposed to long division and what to do with remainders.
Science- Survival is the name of the game. How do plants and animals survive? We are discovering the incredible natural world and how awesome plants and animals are in their ability to get what they need in order to survive. We are also exploring the Winter Olympics through a STEM competition.
